Daniel Day-Lewis, whom I saw speak at a screening of Lincoln, very deservedly won an Oscar for his performance.

In his talk, he mentioned something we rarely think of: no one knows what Lincoln’s voice sounded like, presenting an even greater challenge for the actor who portrays him.
